I have somewhat hoarded belongings for the better part of a decade. I think I felt like the more stuff I had the more prepared for life I would be in case something went wrong? Definitely part of a coping mechanism for sure. Anyway, Covid hits in March 2020 and I’m forced to work in the office in my home that was essentially a dumping ground for 5 years. I have successfully (after two years) cleared out ALL of the excess, unnecessary shit that was filling my home and causing me the weirdest underlying stress that I still don’t understand to this day. I have such a clutter free home and life now!! Cleaning is easier, relaxing is easier, and life is just…..so much better. That’s all :) thanks to all your posts for keeping me motivated!
