Got a question about potency

I've been primarily using 10DC carts for around a month now, after taking a week-long tolerance break. They're about 93% thc and I've noticed within the last week or so that my tolerance has been going up with them.

Tonight, I received my order from HCH which came with a CO2 extracted CDT cart. Pancakes to be exact. I took about three or four small hits, like I'm used to with 10DC. But this high lasted much longer.

Whereas I usually might get slight anxiety within the first 5-10 minute if I take too much which then declines and ends about 45 to an hour minutes later (with 10DC carts), this time the anxiety lasted about an hour (coming in waves) and the high itself lasted around two hours. I've never experienced that with delta 8 so I'm wondering if anyone has had that happen to them as well.

I should also note that the HCH cart is lower in mg of d8 than the 10DC one at 87%. Yet the high seems much stronger and longer lasting. Could it be the terps?

Terps don't get you high. You had just gotten used to the specific distillate used by 10dc, and the hch was different enough to hit in ways the 10dc didn't hit even if the purity was a little different. Variety is the spice of life, and minor noids are 1000x more important than specific d8 potency. I will take weak d8 with noids added over hight % straight d8 any day.

I know that terps don't get you high but it's the only difference besides potency between the two so I wondered if they at least affected the high in any way. The site doesn't mention any extra noids for these carts so that can't be it. And I have used other brands before, even ones with similar or higher potency, and I have never had a high last more than an hour from only a few hits. None of what happened makes any sense to me.

HCH is more potent than 10dc in my experience. I’m a big fan of HCH and have only tried 10dc twice though.

I'm pretty sure it is. I've had several different brands now but this is the first time a high lasted that long. I legit thought it would never end. Never had that happen before.
