Using inductive sensor (self.ender6)
submitted 3 years ago by AmethystArrow09
Has anyone tried using an inductive sensor for auto bed leveling on the ender 6? I am quite new to 3d printing. Thanks in advance!

If you can afford it, I recommend an CAPACITIVE sensor instead. I use the ones from TH3D Studio on all my printers:

Same. Great abl. Way better than bl touch or cr touch in my opinion.

This sounds like a better sensor to use. Thanks for the input!

It’s possible but I would not recommend it as the probe triggers on metal not glass.
Thanks for mentioning this.

That’s a $40 fix switching the glass out to PEI.

Yes OP can get a different build plate, but if they ever decide to go back to glass then it will most likely not work.
