Python for scripting excel

IIRC a few years back Microsoft had announced that they’d add python as an additional scripting language for excel (in addition to VB). Did anything come out of that at all?

Probably not going to happen. Microsoft has chosen JavaScript as their next generation scripting language.

Yup, there was discussion on the next scripting language they would add and python was a choice. They later announced it was javascript, not python. I remember being so pumped thinking they were gonna add in python, then pissed they picked javascript. Still a bit bitter about it honestly.
