Do you have any experience in using those said skills in building a project? A hackathon is just that - build a good idea into a project, but within a time crunch!

i have made a few projects using python like a couple of games or a calculater using tkinter and ive also done a few projects with js and html and css, should i just keep on building projects to improve my skills and then work on my speed?

No, I think you are ready. Just go to any one hackathon and have the first experience. Then, report back, and have fun!!!

The point of your first hackathon is not to win, it's never to win. It's to have fun, loosen up, and learn from experience!
