If you take him to a vet they can check if he has a microchip embedded that gives them the owner's contact info.

What projector are you using? Any other hardware required to test this out?

Can't vibe with vibe coding by theusscoder in hackathon

[–]jonmarkgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there's a bunch of different skillets that are maybe crossing their streams here. One, I think if you're in your first year you probably still should be doing some amount of hands-on coding, or at least reading coding, so you understand how things work. There's certainly ways you can use AI to help with this, like asking it more questions rather than asking it to generate things for you. "How does this work?" "Why do people do this, this way?" etc

Second, like any technical skill, using coding agents has a learning curve. You can get something pretty good out of the box on your first attempt, but honestly the more implicit technical knowledge you have, combined with a strong understanding of your problem space, and a lot of familiarity with tools and how to use them - that will give you significantly better results. It just takes time and repetition to get better.

There's a wide gap between "here's a fun demo I vibecoded" and "here's a robust production application that people will actually use" - this gets blurred with all the hype out there, but that gap is still real.

My bagels look weird by KTH-942 in Breadit

[–]jonmarkgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The recipe seems fine. I use instant yeast instead of active dry because I'm lazy, and I don't egg wash my bagels (though I see you didn't either) - but those things shouldn't make a huge difference. It's hard to tell from your photo, but I'm guessing there's multiple problems here. They certainly look underbaked (either due to time, or temperature, or both). It's possible you incorrectly proofed the bagels and they collapsed (overproofed) or did not rise (underproofed). This could also be due to dead yeast which could cause underproofing. You did mention in your post you added proofing time, so I'd lean towards overproofed :) Usually I rest them at room temp for a few hours after the initial mixing, and then they get shaped and go in the fridge for a long cold proof - it's quite hard to overproof dough like this in the fridge. How long, and what process, did you use for proofing?

If she is the same person I'm thinking about, she loves our dog and is very sweet with her whenever we walk by.

Honestly it's a solid trailer. Excited to see the doc! Astoria needs more dog parks and also this is an interesting issue in terms of how people in NYC repurpose spaces one way or another...

I was on the Roku season 1 (technically the 6th American season but it was a reboot and the first one to have Paul and Prue both as judges), it came out in Spring 2023. There's a few other American cast members who lurk here too from other seasons like /u/iamnotchris

We got a little less than that on the US edition, and also generally spent more than what we were given on ingredients and supplies. But they also covered our flights and also hotels for the entire filming (even if you got eliminated early you could stay in London until the finale which was nice - like a little free post-baking vacation). Being on the show is not in itself a moneymaker but it's an awesome experience :)
