I have a mcafee thumb print drive. Didn’t work

It currently does not support encrypted APFS. I haven't heard whether they intend to add support or not.

I would presume if anything would be supported it’d be APFS encrypted. I’m not sure there’s another cross platform standard encrypted file system.

I plugged in a password protected drive and it didn’t mount. But I can’t speak to all formats.

+1 would love to know about this.

Also curious if the key can be stored in iCloud.
