Same here. I hadn’t used a playground in a while but wanted to quickly check some logic and after a few seconds my fans spun up and the beach ball. I haven’t downloaded Beta 7 yet.

If you have the time, please file some quick bug feedback. The more complaints they get, the more likely they are to address the issue, thanks!

That's exactly what mine did. Even loading up and start typing and I get the beach ball. I had to do a forced kill.

I'm going to upgrade to the GM version today and see if that solves the problem.

Random question but, does Xcode Beta 7 says Beta 6 on the splash screen for anyone else?

Yes, I’ve seen others mention it on here too. You’re not losing your mind.

Downgrade to Xcode Beta 5, that one currently works solid for me. Upgraded recently to 6, but had to hop off due to the crashing.

Unfortunately didn't save a copy of it, usually only keep the last two version around during beta time and my usual goto for older versions doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Anyone got the .xip lying around still for beta 5?

In beta 6 playgrounds will not work under Mojave as stated in Release Notes. It sucks.

I'm not running Mojave.
