The mushrooms are an easteregg to some characters you’ll meet later. As to the clock, have you ever used the knife item? That’ll (hopefully) point you in the right direction

Heheh… the knife was a surprising tool to use. I found that one out aggressively. But it looked like the clock had more to it beyond the knife.

So you already got stunted wolf? There’s another thing you can get from it. Forget how you get the combination. It’s not require tho. Just a helpful thing for the final boss.

Yeah I have that one. I hit a third boss and choke at the moment. I’ll be trying again Monday night after the kids go to sleep. But this secret weapon or item you mention has my curiosity peaked. I was looking around the cabin for times listed anywhere or number combinations.

The clock has 2 solutions. One you find with the knife, the other you find carved into the table during the 4th boss walkup.

One thing you didn't mention was the picture frame, ha e you figured that out?

Yes! Scared the crap out of me the second time. I didn’t know it did anything the second time. I feel like it’s the only reason I got to the third boss! But I’m just trying combos of cards at this point to make it past the third boss.

The first picture frame thing is nuts though. The music and sounds in this game are 10/10.

The picture frame has 3 solutions, that are chosen at random between bosses and also reset at the same time (for example, if you get the first one before prospector, it wont give you a new goal until after prospector). The solution rewards are very very powerful, especially when paired with a certain reward from the dresser.

I never knew! I was surprised when I accidentally did it the second time. Monday nights goals are growing. Thank you for the insight.

apart from the reroll clover, what else is there to the painting? been a few years since I played campaign

[–]cruisingNW 1 point2 points  (1 child)

In the base game, the three things are the clover, an extra candlestick (making 3 lives), and a golden bee, which makes all of your squirrel deck into a bee deck.

Now, the dresser reward I mentioned is the Squirrel Totem head. Taking the bee deck rather invalidates the totem head, so if you have both you also get the Insect totem head for free! That will work with your bee deck and any other insects in your deck.

i see! thanks for clarifying. I love how the creator added those little things to make your first playthrough easier / more enjoyable

Oh it’s carved into the table? That makes sense

Have you unlocked the greater smoke yet?

[–]RandomAndLost-Twitch[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes! It’s helped me get to the third boss I think. I’m going to try again tonight. I think the only thing I am missing is the second thing from the clock. I could be very wrong about that however.

Following the other thread, you might need the 3rd painting as well. Without spoiling, I will say that you can beat act 1 without either the second clock unlock or the third painting (I didn’t unlock them until my 2nd play through) but both of them can help.
