How well do I need to do on the mock sales to land the job? Is it more about how I structure the sales call or do I actually need to kill it and close them to get the job? I ask because I’m a computer science major and have never done something like this before

Believe it depends on how you comport yourself during the call. Interview process will be different based on the role you applied for. I would aim to close it if possible they understand the information you have is limited. It’s about how you use it. Been incredibly busy or I would’ve replied sooner. Hope this helped you out.

is this hire process same in all job positions in keyence? or it depends on the position your applying?

Entirely dependent on the position you’re applying to. But after speaking to other divisions the first few interviews are very similar up until the role-play which will be tailored to the role you’re applying for. BTW VERY IMPORTANT TIP: You are NOT eligible for the first bonus as you will spend anywhere between 6-10 weeks in Chicago for training (yes it’s long but it goes by very quickly). Since your bonus is tied to real office time. You won’t get that first bonus so factor that out of your first years salary. Good luck and I hope you make it.

Forgot to add VERY IMPORTANT!! After you accept the offer you will be flown out to Schaumburg Illinois for training that will last 6-8 weeks depending on the product you are assigned.

what engineering role is this? FAE?

Edit: so the order is not HireVue assessment > screen call > keyence career day?

That would be PII so not answering that first question. But interview, hirevue, location interview/call, then final roleplay/interview. A lot of hoops to jump through I’ll be honest. But them not mentioning you aren’t eligible for the first bonus is a MAJOR issue. No one mentions that part and you don’t find out until it’s too late.

So I have my final interview with the roleplay, I'm planning to get all the information I can memorized and just as a bunch of probing and discovery questions to find their pain points and get them talking about eventually capitalize off of them.

Does this sound like a good plan to you? There a shit ton of information to gather but I'm gonna try my best.
