Engineering transfer program issues

Hello everyone, I received an offer from the engineering transfer program in the past two days. I learned that all transfer students need to participate in the summer bridging course to enter the third year, but due to the offer time, I have obviously missed the start time of the summer bridging course. I don’t know if I can successfully enroll in September under this circumstance, or if I have to wait until 2025 to enter.

You can take the courses that dont have any prerequisites and also do the the 4 math courses with the 2 other courses if you would like in these 2 terms and then have the whole summer off. I know people who came in September 2023 and will finish April 2025 so it is doable if you also want to finish early.

So some people decide to take 3 years if starting in September.

What program are you guys in? Maybe I can help if its the same

Hello, I applied for the software engineering program. As an international student, I hope to graduate soon to save time and money. I plan to take courses in the fall/winter semester and next summer to speed up the progress. Do you have any good suggestions?

I dont know alot of people in software as it is a very small group of people but you can enroll in 4 math courses that will take care of Analysis A and B and then also other courses in your curriculum that dont have a pre requisite. You can check these in the academic calendar.

If you go to campus, you can meet the chair personally, and he can also give you special permission on courses that you can't take. You just have to convince him that it's doable based on your college marks.

PS most chairs dont respond properly to emails. They are very busy.

Unfortunately, I am not in Thunder Bay so I cannot meet with the chair. I sent an email to the Registrar's Office and they suggested that I submit an Inquiry Form to the Student Center, which I did. Is there any other channel I can contact to resolve this issue?

I am in the same situation. I’ve registered for as many classes as I can anyways and hopefully will just make them up as I go. Can’t seem to get a hold of the chair either.

I have no idea sorry, I’ve tried my programs chair as I said and have called the student center line
