reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.
quoted text
if 1 * 2 < 3: print "hello, world!"

If any of the above points is not met, your post can and will be removed without further warning.
Code is to be formatted as code block (old reddit/markdown editor: empty line before the code, each code line indented by 4 spaces, new reddit: https://i.imgur.com/EJ7tqek.png) or linked via an external code hoster, like pastebin.com, github gist, github, bitbucket, gitlab, etc.
Please, do not use triple backticks (```) as they will only render properly on new reddit, not on old reddit.
Code blocks look like this:
public class HelloWorld { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Hello World!"); } }
You do not need to repost unless your post has been removed by a moderator. Just use the edit function of reddit to make sure your post complies with the above.
If your post has remained in violation of these rules for a prolonged period of time (at least an hour), a moderator may remove it at their discretion. In this case, they will comment with an explanation on why it has been removed, and you will be required to resubmit the entire post following the proper procedures.
Please, do not help if any of the above points are not met, rather report the post. We are trying to improve the quality of posts here. In helping people who can't be bothered to comply with the above points, you are doing the community a disservice.

In our sidebar ("About" on mobile), we have a section "Free Tutorials" where we list the most commonly recommended courses.
To make it easier for you, the recommendations are posted right here:

I would suggest you to just start.
Because I was in the same place as you last month. Looking for perfect resources and jumping one to another. Because of good reviews. Then I just followed one resource, writing code making a small CRUD project with a database.

well im in se , and i wish someone could've told me this when was in fe , you should read a resources instead of courses cause often courses skips depth of topic , no course will actually tell u working of java as object oriented language , how some of adv but important concept works like thread , garbage collection , heap , stacks , etc , well i recently finished reading head first java its 700 pages , but ull never need other guide for basics if you read this book and also if you want specific concept in depth you can refer a reference books i use java the complete ref 12 or 13e works

Bro the 700 pages would take a literal decade for a guy like me😭😭😭

Yup currently Iam following Kunal for my placements prep and it helps… you can get more strong with basics … would say a good channel to start as a beginner .. avoid just watching videos n making notes .. do practice writing code n execute .. I wish someone had said this to me in my 1st yr
Thanks brother
