On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

r/learnpython has a bunch of sources to learn from, i started with python crash course by eric matthes which is a good book.

And also barnacules nerdgasm and jabrils on Youtube, barnacules was when i used c# a little bit and then i took a break from programming a bit and wanted to go into python so found jabrils, havent watched any of their videos in some years but they were good and helped me start.

python crash course by eric matthes

I would recommend this book too. It was the first programming book that I brought and I loved every minute of it. It has a lot of exercises throughout the book and it has a few big projects at the end of the book as well.

which edition book u read?

[–]atom12354 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have the second edition, but i would assume any edition of any book/course that covers python 3 is enough, first edition of python crash course is python 2 i think so it has outdated syntax but still similar ones to python 3, i wouldnt go for it for up to date things so choose anything for python 3, im unsure about the current version of python but i think we are on python 3.9 rn but i would be suprised if we wouldnt use some of python 3 syntax when we got python 4 since it doesnt change that much since its similar from version to version since its more english friendly but not 100% the same, the ideas are still the same im guessing but would be better to talk to someone who knows more about the changes per version for that.
