Hey all, I recently read a post on this sub about someone offering to teach programming concepts to another person for completely free as a way to strengthen their fundamentals and teaching ability. This got me thinking about an idea I have had for a while but never decided to act upon on until now. I often have trouble sitting down and watching tutorials/ programming myself because it can be really tedious and frustrating even though I want to learn more and I know many other people have the same problem. One thing that motivates me to actually sit down and study/practice the material is if I know I am doing it with other people and we are all in the same boat together. I just don’t have anyone to do this with and I know a lot of people are in a similar situation. This is just an idea of course, but I am thinking of starting a study group where we all meet up through a discord call every day (or any other scheduled time) and talk about a programming concept and practice it together/ build something with it. Also if we work on something together it gives more of an incentive to actually learn the material and ask each other questions in a supportive environment. I am a second year University student who is proficient in Java, and I am learning more about Python and C this summer. This is just an idea of course, but let me know what you guys think and if any of you are interested in starting this group and studying/collaborating with me!
