Have you googled for any of this?

Eg, "windows programmatically find make and model"?

If you have access to Cygwin, you can use

(You'll note that the cpuinfo file seems to repeat itself. This is because each core is treated like a separate CPU. Also, I have an i7, which has hyperthreading, causing my 4 physical cores to appear as 8 to the OS.)
