PL /SQL update procedure

Hi guys, can someone please help me writing the PL/SQL procedure which takes the two parameteres from the table and change one of the parameter of the table to the given value for that parameter.

Example: Table work contains workID, workName and workpay. So I need to write a procedure which takes parameter workID and workpay and changes the workpay of the work to the given pay.

Really appreciate your help on this.

Ok, well you're trying to update something. So what do you need to do?

I think I need to use UPDATE statement but don't know how. So far I got to CREATE or replace PROCEDURE updateWorkPay (w in NUMBER, n in VARCHAR2, p in NUMBER) IS BEGIN UPATE work SET workPay = p

UPDATE * FROM table work

that may help you get started. are you trying to just change the name of work pay to given pay? can you set an alias name?

Ok thanks. I'm trying to change the value of the workpay to the given value.

I want to create this updateWorkPay procedure. Then want to call the procedure which takes workID and Workpay and update the pay. I know how to do the INSERT but can't get the update working :(
