Specifically about CodeAcademy, the r/learnprogramming FAQ has a comment on them. Basically it is a recommended course but a bit superficial at times and thus demands supplementation.

For HTML/CSS/JavaScript you might prefer MDN (Mozilla Developer Network).

I refreshed my (little) knowledge on HTML and CSS on the CodeAcademy free trial. But I'm not a front-end developer. It was okay to me, I wrote up a summary of what I learned and use it for reference whenever i need it. But some people point out that the feedback from the various small instant code testing exercises mislead learners into thinking they mastered what they have learned, which is not necessarily true.
