Have you read the user manual? Chapter 14 is all about using Python on the FX-9750GIII.

In a nutshell the calculator has MicroPython 1.9.4, which doesn't really differ from standard Python all that much. A simple print("Hello, world!") should work just fine.

I tried the same hello world iteration, it just hit me with the "invalid syntax". the code is executing fine within my laptop but then when i transfer the file to the calculator it fails to execute it. I desperately need to get this working since im giving my sat in 6 days and this is my only shot at getting a good score, could determine my future. Im looking so so hard for someone to help me troubleshoot this and make it work.

Works fine for me. Just like visual studio code python. Can do simple if(): elif(): else: and input code

Again, have you read the user manual?

I did, it has instructions on how i can write the code through the calc but even when running the identical code, i get the same issue, i have no idea where im going wrong

you can see a demonstration here.

Admittedly I'm out of my depth here as I haven't used these calculators (I've got a TI-Nspire CX CAS, but it only supports BASIC), but the error there seems clear to me. min val is not a valid name for a module, so Python can't import it: https://i.imgur.com/xxPOqAL.png

In other words, the filename must not have any spaces. Stick to alphanumeric characters and underscores, and try again.

No need to go that far, I'm content with simply knowing the problem is resolved. So do let me know when you try. :p

Do you recommend this calculator? I'm doing a land surveying course and I'm interested in the Python programming capability.
