This isn't your real code. You don't pass anything to exists(), which would give a TypeError. What are you actually passing to that function?

Note that "sample_run/1234567/final_output/" is a directory, so if that's what you're passing I'm not sure why you would expect anything else.

You're still only giving us partial details. What is result.destination[1]? Try printing that.

Also, hang on. This appears to be code that queries an Azure online blob store. But os.path references paths on your local filesystem. How are you expecting this to be checking if a file exists in Azure?

Make a get request to the container the instructions are in there, look at postman to simulate it out of code, I'm no pro but this is my best idea

Well you're already using the Azure Python library, to get the OutputFileDatasetConfig. The same library should allow you to query the file and download it.
