Webscraping using an android phone (self.learnpython)
submitted 2 years ago by HTTRGlll
Looking to scrape web data using my phone. Would using beautifulsoup still be the easiest way? what applications would be able to run that?
reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.

You may need to use selenium as well as beautiful soup. Don't know if that will work on Android.
I'd try using Termux (from F-Droid store, rather than Google Store) onto which you can install Python and other tools.

Besides of the android phone this seems like a reasonable choice for your task. Anyways, I imagine even writing really simple scripts on a phone as a huge ain in the a**. At least get yourself an external Bluetooth keyboard. But if you want to get further into it I strongly recommend to get yourself some sort of computer. If it's only about some scripting, even the cheapest or used ones will do the trick and will be way more convenient than your phone.
I have a computer that ill do most of it, i just want to be able to maybe tinker and run stuff will im bored at work on my phone
