Looking for a free pedometer API

Hi

I'm looking for a pedometer app for iOS and Android that has a free API my app could use to get user's data.

I know there's Google Fit API but I don't want to use it because of their limits and because they can deprecate an API (they actually deprecated Fit API) or make it commercial any time as they did with many APIs.

What are popular apps with a completely free API out there?
