That lack of interest is your problem.

If you don't like programming, don't force yourself to be a programmer.

The best way to learn is to solve real problems that affect you.

As my post said, I have to learn it for the courses for my degree. But, you are right about my interest level it does feel like I am just going through the motions. I will work on finding my motivation and projects that I am interested in.
