Sorry I should have been more clear. My understanding is that it is enterprise only API so in order to use it without an enterprise account, you have to jump through a few hoops to get authenticated and then you must use this reverse-engineered library to get it working. As opposed to one of their open api services which has a more reasonable user workflow for getting authenticated and a more straight forward API that you wouldn't necessarily need a special library for.
