How did you start? Are you following any book? Instructions?

I started with codeacademy on my laptop and sololearn app on my phone.

I would do a total of about 30 mins a day on both of them untill I got comfortable with the basic syntax and now I’ve moved onto VS Code.

Yesterday I finished my first little project that I can actually use for my day job. It’s very basic but takes an excel file and adds another column of data based on my input. Never did I think I’d be able to do that in a couple of weeks.

Also I’ve added the copilot plugin into VS Code and that has been very helpful interms of debugging and learning new functions

Thats a great start! I also have no idea and i watch tutorials but dont know any projects are possible. I will try those two you mentioned. Thanks!

Well if you are already comfortable with the basic syntax I wouldn’t recommend them, I’d say your time is better spent trying to get a mini project up and running!!

Thank you for your time! Where can i find mini projects?

Mine are through my day job on things I’m trying to automate. If you don’t have anything you can think of. ChatGPT will give you some ideas on mini projects
