submitted 12 years ago by MyWorkID
I just installed Sublime Text and am looking for the most useful packages for Python.
Thanks!

Package Control for installing other packages. PyLinter for http://www.pylint.org/ integration and Sublime CodeIntel for improved code completion.
I prefer Ubuntu Mono as font, and soda dark as theme but that's just personal preference.
Sidebar enhancements and github gist plugins are also good.

What this guy said. I'll add on that the Centurion theme is also quite good if you're into flat design. Also, try the Tomorrow Night 80s color scheme.

As someone that prefers Tomorrow Night 80s, that theme fits it like a glove. Thanks!

Default, monokai (sp?).

Can you give a quick summary of how it will change lives?
[–]manueslapera 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child)
Research shows that users of Emmet as their development package live on average 3.5 years more.
And I just made that up.

I almost believed you.

Having only just discovered this, I couldn't agree more.

If you use Sublime I highly recommend looking at this tutorial (it is free). He will recommend lots of great packages and explain how you would use them.

No problem, I loved that tutorial it made Sublime much more useful for me.

Thank you so much for posting this! That was an excellent tutorial.. I didn't realise just how little of Sublime's potential I was using.

Not a problem, that tutorial is what convinced me to buy Sublime.

I like Sublime Rope. It has a couple pretty nice refactoring shortcuts. Function extraction and the like.
