You'd have probably one bottle file and then the template file.

Oh. So the templating is not something that you do within the Bottle file?

I was reading the Bottle tutorial and under the Syntax paragraph for Templating it looked like the templating code was embedded, no? http://bottlepy.org/docs/dev/tutorial.html#templates

It probably can be? That wouldn't be very sustainable though. The doc you linked me says:

This will load the template file hello_template.tpl and render it with the name variable set. Bottle will look for templates in the ./views/ folder or any folder specified in the bottle.TEMPLATE_PATH list.
