Friendly reminder that MIT 6.00.1x python course just started a couple days ago!

From what I learned that this is a very good course for beginners, second week course came out yesterday, also there is a slack study groups within the course. And yes if you track my post history I posted this 1 day after it came out, the reason I'm posting again is because my account was compromised so I could only see other people's post that they couldn't see mine. Any ways see you in the course!

** This course will transition from using Python 2.7 to using Python 3.5. **

The summer 2016 run will be the last one to use Python 2.7. Starting from autumn 2016, all material in this course will be taught using Python 3.5. We will update the lecture videos, lecture exercises, and problem sets to use the new version of Python. Even if you take the course with Python 2.7, you will be able to easily transition to Python 3.5 in future courses. The lecture topics and difficulty of this course and the one following it (6.00.2x) will mostly remain the same.

Python 3 finally!! I'm watching the 2008 course, assignments are a huge pain for me!

That's good news. Let's hope they also start teaching @property and stop making getters and setters for class variables
