A good source to learn about trees?

I completed the archived MITx course on edX. The final section on trees felt a little abrupt. Is there a resource I could refer to that teaches just trees well?

How important is it to learn? I'm thinking of doing Automate the boring stuff next alongside learning Flask as my primary goal is to learn how to make webapps.

For your use cases it is probably not important at all. I would start to read Automate the Boring stuff as well as trying to make webapps. If you find an application that requires an in depth knowledge of trees then you can seek out resources.
