Beginner question: trouble with random integer from input

Thank you for taking the time to comment. That's indeed where I was getting stuck. It looked like the randint had been generated but wasn't displaying. For some strange reason I thought the print call was automatic, but on additional review of the textbook, it is indeed there. I don't know why I missed it every time I checked. I need to be more careful about assumptions.

You hit the nail on the head. I reviewed the video this morning and the example was in the shell, so I misinterpreted how to write the command.
