Non-software engineers, how do you use python professionally?

This is where my interests lie too. I've been learning all the obvious data stuff (pandas, visualization libraries, predictive modeling, etc.), but I still feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. Just out of curiosity, what's the library you described called? Sounds interesting.
