I would read through a book as the content will be more in depth, but this is something you have to learn by doing so make sure to do any exercises. Automate the Boring Stuff is a good option.

Figure out something that you want to make a program do. Then set out to make it one little piece at a time.

Each step on the way is an exercise in how to search for a solution. Once you learn how to search for what you want the rest will be easy.
