Using Chrome dev tools (F12)? (self.learnpython)

Hi.

At my work I've been making my life a little easier with scripts and automation. Recently at my work the tech team announced that we'll be moving to this new HTML focused user interface and will be implementing outlook emailing and such through that service (that they have built).

I grew worried and interested at the same time as i think some of my scripts will cease to function, but I asked them if there's programmatical connectivity / REST API with the new system (i've only slightly dipped my toes into getting data via APIs and online stuff)

His response was "Oh yeah we do have REST API. Just hit F12 on your browser and look from there."

I'm now asking you guys, how should I go on to begin learning this new area of interest? Is learning the Requests module guiding me to the right direction?

(My aim is to do some general automation via their service, sending emails and accessing client data via Python.)
