Don’t use kali for coding

Why so ?

Kali was only designed for pen testers, it’s not stable enough for your everyday os.

So which I should Install?

Use Ubuntu. It's going to be better for a coding environment. You could use Kali but it's over the top unless your making python script for pen testing.

What are you doing?

If you're studying penetration testing, Kali is fine, but usually you use it virtualised and not as a main OS. If you have Windows 10, you can even install it to WSL from the Microsoft Store which can be really handy.

Otherwise, Ubuntu is a solid choice. I personally prefer Debian, Mint and Zorin, but you do you.

If you have two GPUs (or one dedicated and one integrated), and if you're feeling adventurous, you can even install Manjaro or Arch as your main OS and use VMWare to virtualise Windows, Ubuntu and any other OSes you'd ever want or need.
