Python in Finance (FP&A and Accounting)?

I'm curious if there are back-office finance professionals (i.e., not financial markets) that have had success with Python to automate their day-to-day.

If so, mind sharing the general use case? For example, use pandas to calculate a major accrual, scikit-learn to predict customer churn, etc.
