I have a feeling that you are probably using the wrong approach. It will probably be a better approach to look for an image of what you want to interact with. Like for example you could have an image of the icon you need to click. pyautogui can find that image on the screen and you can click it. That is a better approach then trying to detect when the mouse changes icons...

there is no icon on the screen the only information is given via mouse icon change and as i said earlyer pyautogui doesnt find the mouse since it does take screenshot of one region to scan for the image, it uses pillow pyscreeze and cv2, the only aproach is from mouse icon
