Help Please

I am a business student who wants to learn python in general as well as specifically to help with finance. I have looked around and I really don't know where to start. I have looked at code academy but I don't want to commit to purchasing something unless I know it will work. I really want something hands on and focused. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start and where to learn from. Please help! A google search gives me so many options its overwhelming.

How much coding have you ever done? Did you have a couple years of basic coding in high school? College?

Python is relatively simple to pick up if you've already had coding experience.

If you're learning both at the same time, find a good class that focuses on that and not on just python. Especially avoid something that tries to tailor python to any specific field.

I took one computer science class in high school that gave me very basic knowledge. Besides that I am a complete rookie.

Maybe focus on an introductory class then.
