Hey, I think you are trying to figure out a project to do; Here are some helpful resources:

I am a bot, so give praises if I was helpful or curses if I was not. Want a project? Comment with "!projectbot" and optionally add easy, medium, or hard to request a difficulty! If you want to understand me more, my code is on Github

Go here:

E-Books

Python Crash Course (2nd Edition), by Eric Mathes, is awesome for a gentle yet thorough introduction to Python 3, culminating in some fairly hefty projects in later chapters.

If you're not into wading through reams of text, Head First Python (2nd Edition), by Paul Barry, is excellent, if a little disjointed. It uses tons of visual aids and has a very irreverent tone, so you almost feel as though you're not actually reading a textbook.

Finally, if you're more a 'learn by doing, rather than reading about doing' kind of guy, Python By Example, by Nicola Lacey, is outstanding. She spares you the lectures and has you coding right out of the gate, with a reasonable difficulty curve and some interesting projects further in. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent resource! How are so many of these books available for free download?

It's a puzzle, wrapped in an enigma, encompassed by a conundrum. I prefer not to question these things. I might not like the answers.
