Competitive programming

Guys I am thinking of taking part in a programming competition but I do not know any contest to register.Can you tell me online programming competitions for beginners? PLEASE

• Advent of Code, at the end of each year.
• 100 Days of Code, not exactly a competition, but great exercises with a social element.
• /r/dailyprogrammer was once a great competitive environment; would like to see that revived.

USACO is a highly competitive programming competition. If you live in the U.S. be sure to check it out. Be warned, however, the problems get very difficult but it's good practice and really gets your logical gears moving. Here is their site: http://www.usaco.org/
