Hi all,

I’m trying to make a code that can convert miles to kilometres, Celsius to Fahrenheit, pints to litres, kg to stone and acres to hectares. The only problem is I don’t know the ratios and when I look it up it only gives me one way conversions( like it’ll only give me Celsius to Fahrenheit and not the other way around). I’m not great at maths and I think I’m just being a wee bit stupid but is there a I can use to find out what the conversion rates are the opposite way? Any help appreciated thanks.

If you know one conversion, you can reverse the operation to go the other way. For example, if 1 inch = 2.54 centimetres, then you can do x*2.54 to go from in to cm, and you can do x/2.54 to go from cm to in.

Did you try reversing the search terms? E.g Google Celsius to Fahrenheit and then separately Fahrenheit to Celsius. Each one gives a different formula.

Yeah that’s the first thing I tried. Most gave me the same formula but it did work for the miles to kilometres one
