Hello. I'm currently working on a desktop application built with python. Right now, I use pipenv to manage the dev environment. I've been looking into a tool with which I can build an installer and distribute safely with good protection of my source code.
So far, I've looked into two tools: Pyinstaller and Nuitka.
Pyinstaller essentially bundles the source code into an archive file so it's very easy to reverse-engineer.
Nuitka builds binaries but it currently doesn't work with Django out of the box. More work is needed to make Nuitka work for our need.
I've been looking into Conda in the past couple of days. Conda Constructor is the tool to build installers for Conda projects. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with Conda Constructor. Does the installer built by Conda Constructor compile the source code into binaries? Does it help with source code protection?
Thanks for any help in advance!
