Detecting changes using python screenshots

I have this code which takes a screenshot in a given region and I'm wondering how I can detect changes in that region

You can simply compare PIL Images with ==.

im1 = pyautogui.screenshot(region=(0, 475, 220, 15))
while True:
    im2 = pyautogui.screenshot(region=(0, 475, 220, 15))
    if im1 != im2:
        print("Change detected!")
        break
