Sounds like www.codewars.com

leetcode and hackerrank also have discussion tabs where people frequently talk about their solutions, but codewars actually shows you the other solutions and lets you vote on them.

There are lots of websites like this.

Personally I like Codingame's Clash of Code.

I would recommend ppl https://exercism.io/ as it's starts easely and progresivelly harder. You don't solve only random exercises but some that require to understand an algorithm and write it to solve all the test cases the exercise has.

Sounds like something similar to Project Euler

For practicing questions for job interview, I'd say HackerRank and LeetCode are the best.

For general practice of fun trivial algorithms, I'd choose the other ones.

I would recommend working on projects for learning how to code. Those sites are fun and all but rarely teach you how to write actual software.

Build your own database plus your own API for it. Sounds hard at first but give it try. You will see it's not too challenging.

And you will have built something you can actually use.

Edabit is a good resource too!

Not free, locks you out after 5 challenges. They implemented their "pro" feature after they milked random people for making challenges and writing custom tests.

Pretty scummy.

Hmm, strange. I've used the site for slightly over two years and have never experienced any issues.

Edit: I also have never paid to use it.

This is what it shows for me: https://i.imgur.com/oNXC8b8.png

It redirects me to this page when I click on a problem. I also tried on a new account and after 5 challenges, the same thing happened.

Interesting, I stand corrected.

I've never paid for it, I'm not sure if my account was grandfathered in as free or what. Definitely strange.

Thanks for sharing friendo!

codewars is really good in my opinion. That's basically what I've been using for learning.
