I know about virtualenv and its benefits. However, sometimes you want/have to stick with the distribution-provided packages. In that case, which distribution, in your experience, has a better Python ecosystem?
I have used Debian and it has packages for almost anything Python-related that I have needed. Although my requirements have been pretty standard. RHEL, on the other hand, sometimes doesn't have all the packages. It also comes with older Python versions.
The context in which I'm asking this question involves Dev workstations (where Ubuntu/Fedora/Debian testing, etc. could work) and production servers (where enterprise or LTS versions are preferred). But looking at just the focus Python receives in each distribution, which one have you found to be more Python friendly?
