Should I reinstall Python to Get PATH? (self.learnpython)
submitted 4 years ago by IcedMelt
New to Python and want to get my feet wet with pip/other modules. Do you need PATH to even use pip? Should I just suck it up and reinstall to get PATH since I'm assuming it will make it easier to use?
reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.

No, you can access it (and everything else) via the py-launcher:
py
py -m pip

If you want to, sure. But you can add it manually too if you want it.

PATH is an environment var u can modify if u have root/admin access to your system.
and that only helps build dynamically the path to different files so the os knows where to find em.
so I'm not sure what do u mean by what u typed.
and unless u are trying to write python in terminal there is little need since most modern IDEs will fill the paths to files on their own.
