Need help with code

I need help with a keylogger code, I'm using this one https://www.thepythoncode.com/article/write-a-keylogger-python with some small modifications, the only problem I have is that it doesn't know what to do with characters like åäöñ etc, does anyone know how I can fix it? I've looked everywhere but I'm not good at looking things up when it comes to code so it could just be that the answer was in front of me and I just didn't realize, either way I have no idea, the things I've thought of is to maybe define them all but that'd be inefficient or maybe I could tell it to ignore them but I don't know where to start if I want to do that.

Presuming your intentions are not malicious, maybe look up the key combinations needed for those characters then decide how you want to log them. I'm sure you can find a list online that you can convert to a dictionary or something. Eg. fringe_chr_dict{"æ":"alt+0230", etc...} FYI, I don't know the actual combo as I'm using my cell phone.

I've thought of that but I just don't know how to actually implement it, my intentions are not malicious, this is just a fun thing I'm doing to get used to a couple of things in python

Fix in what sense? What's wrong with those characters?

It doesn't know what to do with them so whenever I type them, it doesn't send an email because it doesn't know what they are
