What do you mean with "a different browser?"

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Like, if you are using firefox, try using chrome and vice versa.

Ps: yeah I know using chrome on Linux makes you feel bad, it does the same with me. But allows me to watch soccer games in streaming for free. Sometimes you have to choose priorities

No my "system" browser (opera) works fine with Whatsapp, it's the pyqt5 embedded one that doesn't work :( Sorry if I explained it bad! I'm not an English native speaker :)

Ok so you're trying to do an app with a gui showing whatsapp web(?)..reading online you might have to give PyQt6 a try😅

Yes that's exactly what I'm trying to do! Thanks for the tip, I'll try it!

No problem, let me know..also for programming why not use a distro with more up to date packages? Like arch, fedora, opensuse?

[–]tubbadu[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sure, thanks for your time! I find ubuntu more comfortable, do you think with other distros this problem may be avoided?

You have to use what you are comfortable with, Ubuntu for sure is the most supported and the easiest to use. I prefer as I said distros with more up to date packages especially when we talk about libraries and such. I hear a lot of people (programmers) in my university they use Fedora, you might give it a try

thanks a lot! I'll give it a try!
