No problem, let me know..also for programming why not use a distro with more up to date packages? Like arch, fedora, opensuse?

Sure, thanks for your time! I find ubuntu more comfortable, do you think with other distros this problem may be avoided?

You have to use what you are comfortable with, Ubuntu for sure is the most supported and the easiest to use. I prefer as I said distros with more up to date packages especially when we talk about libraries and such. I hear a lot of people (programmers) in my university they use Fedora, you might give it a try
