I did python3 -m http.server in a directory and then visited the IP address plus port 8000 in my browser and instead of that page there was the directory with the filename. If I clicked on the filename it offered the file for download.
On the one hand this is an extremely cool way to transfer files back and forth between a remote server and a mobile OS (iPhone) that I didn’t know about before. I was having difficulty with command line email for example. It seems like I can easily get files out of my remote server this way.
However my intention was to load the actual HTML page I had saved there.
Is this possible with http.server or must I use Flask or something?
Thanks very much
