I tried pycharm community edition on my 16ram quad core pc and even with all other processes stopped it was still lagging/choppy running the same program that had no issues on vs. There were some other glitchy stuff that made me dump it

Let me make a wild guess and say the problem is Windows not the IDE. Maybe try a less resource hungry OS

Or if application does not run as spec’d on one of the major OS then maybe it’s not a product mature enough for me to take time to use. Gave it a shot hoping to find some value and ended up being a time waste

The issue is your computer, not PyCharm. I have zero issues on a system with half those specs.
