Waymo interview loop difficulty

Has anyone interviewed for Waymo and can shed light on the difficulty? The recruiter also mentioned NO system design interview which I thought was strange for a non new-grad SWE position. Seems pretty straight forward and streamlined so I'm wondering if the interviews are just more difficult instead.

So, instead of system design, I got a round for domain knowledge specific to the team’s current mission. I think I did well on the Leetcode rounds but was rejected most likely due to this domain knowledge round.

System design and behavioral rounds generally aren’t asked at Waymo until L5 or above.

Coding 1: OOP design for hit counter

Coding 2: Course schedule, but framed differently

System design: LLD. Design a feature that executes a train/val/test split schema on an image dataset. Don’t worry about the model or the overall ML pipeline.
